The teaser introduces us to heroic caveman hero Finished, voiced by Eddie Redmayne, and his bestfriend Hognob while they locate a rabbit which may not be as harmless because it looks. It delivers another spin-on the vocals being played onscreen gag, but displays the most common Aardman attraction using a neat final joke.
Together with the teaser trailer, Park revealed that the whole host of British celebrities are joining Redmayne, Sport of Thrones’ Maisie Williams and Tom Hiddleston around the prehistoric adventure.
“Today we get to satisfy Dug’s group, a lovable couple of misfits voiced by some outstanding British talent,” he announced.
“They’re essentially several inefficient cavemen and women including Treebor, played by Richard Ayoade, a gentle giant scared of his own darkness; Magma, Treebor’s no nonsense mother voiced by Selena Griffiths and Mark Williams as Barry, whose closest friend is a rock.
“Key Bobnar, voiced by the outstanding Timothy Spall, leads the group as their longsuffering leader, and father figure to his tribe of idiotic brutes.”
Early Man film follows Made, joined by gallant and indomitable rebel Goona (Williams), as he tries to unite their group from the mighty enemy Lord Nooth (Hiddleston) and his Bronze Age City to save their home.
It is currently filming in Bristol and marks Park’s first feature film since 2005is Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit.
